EASTER

EASTER

The Gospel is the story of God’s saving grace in the world, from beginning to end. The gospel doesn’t begin in the New Testament but starts from Genesis and finds its fulfillment in Jesus. As we build up to Easter, we look at how the saving work of God through Jesus is pictured throughout the Old Testament in anticipation of the Saviour’s coming.

Living Distinctively

The Wonderful Work of God

The Bible is the most amazing book one could ever read: It is like a deep reservoir that you will never exhaust. You will never outgrow it. It will continue to minister to you all the days of your life. However, in order to get the most out of God’s Word; we need to follow the storyline. The Bible is not just a random collection of sayings, wisdom or ideas. It has a flow, a plotline, and a narrative arc. In this series, we go on a journey to trace the storyline of the Bible and to see the wonderful work of God in redeeming and saving people like us.
Living Distinctively

Unwrapping Empty Gifts When Christmas Lets You Down

Many of us will receive gifts at Christmas time. Some of them will be expensive or meaningful, some will be superficial and hardly last. Many times we look to Christmas give us something special, some deep joy, or peace, or hope. But Christmas comes and Christmas goes, we pack away the wrapping and the decorations, and feel empty. In this series we explore the gift that Christmas is meant to give us and keep on giving us, through all the ups-and-downs of life.
Living Distinctively

Living Distinctively

Christians are not simply those who believe a certain set of doctrines; Christians are those who have been set apart by God, in order to live for God, and to live like God. This means that Christians’ lives should look distinctive; different from the culture in which we live. In this series we explore how the gospel reframes the way that Christians think about money, sex and power.
Faith Under Trial

Faith Under Trial

It is easy to say we have faith when everything is going well. But when life doesn’t go our way and we face trials of various kinds, that is when our faith gets tested. We will be tempted to respond badly, but James urges us to instead let God use it to refine and mature our faith, the key to which is to really put our faith into practice. As we go through the book of James together, may our motto likewise be “No pain, no gain.”

Faith and Work

The Character of GOD and The Songs of Man

The book of Psalms is the Prayer Book of the Bible and for centuries Christians have used the Psalms as a basis for drawing near to God in prayer. In this series, we discover eight characteristics of God, and how we – like the men and women of old – can use these Psalms to fuel our own prayer and worship of God as we discover who He is.

Faith and Work

Job

The book of Job is an intense reflection on how our faith handles unjust suffering. All of us will face suffering, all of us will experience pain, but the book of Job asks whether it is possible to still have faith even when confronted with such extreme suffering. The book of Job does not answer all of our questions but it does show us what faith in the faithfulness of God looks like, even in the midst of great evil and unjust suffering.
